External VP’s (Amanda) Update:
*NE Humane Society walk for animals
-Elmwood Park Pavillion
-Sunday, September 25 at 11am for about an hour -Donations asked and will be given to animals stranded by Katrina
- Walk a mile and bring a pet if you can
*Amanda is looking into promoting animal adoptions on campus

*There is nothing for the treasurer to report but we have money and we are not wasting it
*co-ed IM volleyball Wednesday, September 21 at 7:30pm at HYPER call Erin (871-4891) if interested
*Discussed President Regent cheating with finances of his campaign and how we can use our numbers (votes) to influence student government to take action
*Amanda did research and interview with Omaha News about abortions and contraception (especially the emergency contraception debate)
*Jim Esch, running against Lee Terry in the 2nd congressional district visited and spoke briefly -Wants young people involved -Kick off event October 4th 5:30 at 1316 Jones Street (Bananna Joe’s)
*Discussed thought about Katrina relief
*Officer meeting Wednesdays at 8:45 in the cafeteria of student center
