The Super Bowl is over. I thought I better make a correction. I do not mean muslims. I mean any "invaders" who would come here to force their way of government on us.

After reading all the previous comments, I almost forgot what the issue was. I think is was about killing innocent civilians in an effort to kill top level terrorist leaders. Then something about liberal/Democrats do not have a plan on how to handle the terrorist. I guess, being pragmatic means realizing all is fair in love and war. Unfortunately, civilians got in the way of a bautched plan to kill some terrorist leaders. Well, that is war, which is hate to the tenth level or insanity. We are talking about human being killing other human beings. I can find very little sense it that. Before nine eleven the United States security systems were not as they are now. Anyone who has taken an airplane before and after nine eleven can contest to that. I think we have learned by our mistakes and acted reactively instead of proactively. Okay, we made a mistake by letting the terrorist blow up the Trade Center, but hopefully we learned from that. We should have been better prepared. After all, they tried to blow up the Towers in 1993 too. We should have been checking airports after that not to mention the laundry list of things we have done to piss the world off. That is another subject. Hindsight is twenty-twenty. Anyway, some radical religious fanatics felt it was there duty to attack and kill themselves to attack the United States. They all died too since they were suicide attacks so I guess you can say they paid the ultimate price for their actions. Okay, the Kamacazees got it too. We don't have to worry about them anymore. Now, Bush figured it was time to get their leaders. We know that recent history. Weapon of mass destruction, Saddam is bad, excetra, attack. He (not just him - his advisors, cabinet, so on and so forth) decided to retaliate. In an economical sense, it made sense. We have plenty of weapons we have to dispose of. If we can blow up some bombs, tanks, ships, planes, helicopters we need to replace them. People got jobs, Haliburton stock went up, price of oil went up for more profits for the oil companies, and hospitals and morturaries got busy. Well, if he is going to kill the number two terrorist he should make sure he is on target. When I say him, I mean his military complex. He is the Commander and Chief. Unfortunately, the number two guy he was going to get came on T.V. the next week saying what an idiot Bush is and that the United States will be getting attacked again. I think he was the fifth or sixth number two terrorist that Bush said he has killed or captured. I amagine there are hundreds of number two terrorist. I am not part of the Democratic leadership, but I would hope that they would have taken another approach to the situation. Such as realizing we are fighting an enemy that does not fight in conventional ways. I thought we learned about that in Viet Nam. We do things to secure our country such as tighter airport security. Infiltrate the terrorist organizations with counter intelligence, diplomatic negotiations and gain alliances with countries in those regions to combat the isolated radical terrorist groups. By attacking them and killing innocent civilians we are doing the same thing they did to us. We pissed them off, helped them recruit others, alienated ourselves and kicked the bee hive over. What can we do? First realize, we put our ass in a sling and get out of the middle east as fast as we can. Who cares about honor, respect, showing of power. It is time to save some lives. We can not win this war and we should admit that and count our loses. Damage control should be first and foremost on our mind. If 150,000 muslims came here to change our system like we are trying to do, you better believe there is going to be road side bombs to start, not to mention the hate, resentment and retribution. I might even strap on some dynamite and throw myself at them to get them out of here. The Super Bowl is starting so I'll leave it at that.

Thomas Paine, I do believe Leigh stated that we should be working toward uniting the world with the common thread of our humanity. Leigh did not state a willingness to bow to Islam, in fact the terrorist organization Al Qaeda never said they wanted to convert the US to Islam, just destroy its ability to wage war in the middle east. Now I don't believe in giving in to terrorists but there is a way to fight a terrorist organization without becoming terrorists yourselves. No, I don't believe the Islamic states in the middle east treat women as they should; the irony is the Koran doesn't think these Islamic states treat women as they should. The Koran states that women are to be treated as equals with men. It also states that violence may not be used against other Muslims or God-fearing people, only Infidels. In the Koran, the relationship between Jesus, who Christians believe to be the Christ and Muslims believe to be a prophet, and God/Allah is recognized. Thus, Christians and Muslims(as well as Jews but the Koran is pretty rough on them) are religious cousins and neither can really call the other infidels. So the perverted Islam often practiced in the middle east is just that, perverted. Trust me, I had plenty of time to read the Koran and the Bible on my 14 month business trip. Anyway, I do beleive Leigh meant a common ground must be met. Not surrender to insane people, either in America or around the world.

Oh, and Tom, You might want to read my earlier post addressed to Tim. I'm a democrat, a patriot, and I'm ready to start making some noise in my party and my country. ;)

The Senator,

It's entirely plausible to believe that the dems have no plan. On Meet the Press back in November (I believe that was the month off the top of my head), DNC Chair Howard Dean pretty much said the only agenda the Dems have is to attack this administration. I don't know about you, but I feel thats kind of lame. The fact is they don't have any valid response on how we should manage our war on terror. I'd love to listen to what they have to say, I really would, but there has to actually be something there before I can listen.

Leigh, that was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. I don't know about you, but I love this country and the opportunities here that allow me to have a great life. The fact does remain that a very large chunk of the world believes that the whole planet should bow to Islam. I don't know about you, but I don't really feel like thats something I'd really enjoy. Assuming you're a girl because of your name, I don't know if you'd really like that either. Living under Sharia for you would be like going from the all-you-can-eat buffet to eating bread and water the rest of your life. Point is: Islam doesn't exactly respect women. I'd love to work out differences with those who disagree, I really would, but the fact remains that many out there want us to bow down to what they think is the truth. They are the enemy, and this is an enemy that believes the only common thread that should unite us is Islam.

I don't visit this site much, but I believe Steven was joking when he made his comment. It looks like he was making fun of democrats.

While some may wrongly disagree, killing Ayman al-Zawahri is extremely important for the US. The decision to bomb this place was entirely right considering he was believed to be there. People forget that we are in a war. This is a war different from those of the past, and we must act in accordance with the changes. Al-Qaeda is not just a bunch of ragtag psychos throwing rocks and shooting AKs. Do your research and you'll find that Osama's intent is clearly to create a nuclear hell storm in the United States. They operate under the belief that they need to kill millions in the US and Israel due to the number of muslim deaths hold us both responsible for. In war, civilians die. It's a given. I don't like it either, but the job needs to get done. If al-Zawahri had in fact been there and was killed, I believe your angry responses might be a little different. If not, then you're really out of touch with reality.

Sarge we are not doing any good as a nation. We are ruining all these countries around the world. Bush supposedly freed Afghanistan and Iraq right. Wrong both those countries were better off untill Bush comes in and ruins both those countries rich in there history, not to mention that the people of these countries were probably more happy. I think Bush is the worst president we have ever had. He is certainly the most terroristic one we have ever had. Bush is worst than Hitler and Saddam could ever be.
