Theres no need to overcompensate your ignorance with bashing on the Nabity family. If you’re not educated on the issues of the campaign maybe you shouldn’t be writing about it at all. Isn’t it funny how there isn’t a worthy Democrat running for position of governor?

Maybe you need to get to know Dave personally. It is obvious we don’t all agree on the same issues however before slamming a guy, maybe you need to find out what makes him tick if you are truly interested in the person and what he or she may represent. We too often “JUMP” on the wagon without all the facts or the desire to look at the truth. It isn’t about being Republican or Democrate, it is about doing what is right.

Ladies and Gentlement, your emotional diatribes in this blog, inability to discuss the original question, and lack of objective and verifiable data regarding the subjects that you DO discuss clearly illustrate the dire lack of a literate and educated generation of undergraduates. It is easier to express one’s opinions, or to simply accept the opinions of others, than to objectively research the facts. In fact, such tactics have become the mainstay of postmodern political dialogue. Unfortunately, the ramifications of such personal intellectual laziness are the obfuscation of truth and damage to the academic reputation of the University of Nebraska. Study history; study the records of the candidates; above all stop behaving like junior high school students and objectively-not emotionally-analyze the pros and cons of BOTH sides of the issues. For example: There are good reasons for the pro-life position AND the pro-choice postion. Pro-life seeks to honor the sanctity of human life in all of its stages while pro-choice seeks honor the sanctity of the individual’s right to determine her own destiny. Ultimately, an informed choice comes down to prioritizing which is more important. Furthermore, the only thing a defeatest attitude will get members of the Democratic Party will be Republican leaders. Success in life takes hard work and until you realize that you will walk in mediocrity and ignorance. Your requirement as an American citizen in this stage of life is to get the BEST education you can and that is hard work, too. You waste valuable tuition money that you might as well be spending on beer if you settle for anything less. If you want to become viable members of the greatest achievement in human civilization to date, I seriously suggest that you all shut up, go back to your dorm rooms, and crack a book before you embarrass yourselves in public with ill-informed diatribes. Who IS Dave Nabity? What has he done to earn the right to lead the State of Nebraska? It would truly be an affront to the State of Nebraska if ignorant minds filled the ballot boxes in 2006.
