Stay Away From Public Restrooms and Republicans

We begin with the most unfortunate opening line in an “I’m not gay” speech ever…

But what’s lost in the story – and in all stories of this type – is the issue: the problem isn’t that he’s gay, it’s that he’s a pervert! The same with Jeff Gannon, the gay prostitute who posed as a White House reporter – the issue wasn’t that he was gay, or even that he was a partisan hack posing as a White House reporter, it’s that he was a hooker! Mark Foley? He was a sexual predator.

The issue is the hypocrisy of it all. And every time a gay Republican is outed in a very public way, they try to dodge the issue – and by extension smear the entire GLBT community. The hypocrisy, the lies, and the disconnect from reality is really quite appalling. And the level of scandal is reaching the point of absurdity.
