As a fellow UNO Dem, congrats to all those Monday night regulars that got elected. Your dedication in our group this past year has truly prepared you to take the next step. It will be a great experience, and I hope that you all take the time to enjoy it while you can...it goes quicker than you'd think! And a special Congrats to Kyle Michaelis! It has been great to work with you this past year. You've worked incredibly hard for this group the past few years, and it's great to know that your dedication will be paving the way to even more success for the Nebraska Young Democrats. Mr. President, I wish you well, and if there's anything we can do over here in Omaha....call Karlee! Having over 20 UNO College Democrats make the trip was a remarkable testament to your dedication to the cause, to the organization, and to your friends. To all of you newly elected officers, congratulations! You are about to embark upon a year in which you will never forget. Embrace it, and let it take you for the ride of your life. To Dave, thank you for the kind words. This organization has been my life for the past three years and walking away is in no way easy. And to everyone, thank you for being amazing! It's been awesome working alongside leaders of their caliber, and I'm going to work like hell to see that we continue building upon their remarkable accomplishments. To Nikola, Dave and John, thank you for being willing to step up in the statewide organization at a time of immense transition but so much promise. We're going to do great things together. And, to all UNO College Democrats - especially the fantastic trio of Karlee, Jared, and Nick - thank you for continuing to set the standard for Young Democrats in Nebraska. In my opinion, there is nothing more important to the long-term health of NYD than the dedication, the good times and the great friendships for which UNO College Democrats are so well known. It will be an honor to serve and to work alongside you in the coming year.
