My Fellow UNO College Democrats,

Tonight, President Bush - with a 28% approval rating - will give his State of the Union address. We all know what to expect from Bush - simple rhetoric, sweeping generalizations, mispronounced words, an uncomfortable homoerotic moment with Joe Lieberman - so here’s my call to all of you:

George W. Bush has carefully constructed his own reality - one where Congress and the Constitution do not matter, the Iraqi people love us, and Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11 - and has based his entire presidency on that reality.

What’s your reality? And what’s the State of the Union in your reality? Be creative, and there’s no need to confine yourself to this reality.
