Does Lee Terry Still Live In His Parents’ Basement, Too?

Oh, you know I couldn’t pass this up:

WASHINGTON - Leaks have long plagued politicians in Washington. But a particularly sensitive one presented a crisis for U.S. Rep. Lee Terry.

His air mattress was deflating.

Terry, R-Neb., belongs to a group of House members - he says one estimate puts the number around 50 - who crash in their offices on the few nights they spend in Washington. They then use the House gym facilities to freshen up in the morning.

Terry said he often works late in his office, anyway, so he simply pulls out the air mattress and grabs a few hours of shut-eye.

The “parents’ basement” crack is pretty harsh, Dave. Glad you’re giving Lee Terry hell, but it’s hard to fault him for keeping his family in Nebraska and living frugally.

If anything leaps out of the linked article for easy criticism, it is further proof of Chuck Hagel’s 2 year vacation in Nebraska that bought him 12 years in the Senate and a likely Presidential bid. Owns a $2 million home around D.C. and hasn’t even made an effort to maintain real ties to Nebraska beyond his political power.
