Terry is a bafoon that ran on term limits. He said regardless of issues he would only run one term. He either can’t count or lies. Ethics????????????

Why did anyone vote for Lee Terry? I have asked so many people that question and no one has given me a decent answer yet. To add to John’s comments, I heard that Lee Terry had an affair. The thought of anyone being remotely attracted to him I find ridiculous, but I heard it from a family who is very involved in politics so I guess I believe it. Usually I would say that his life is his business, but since the Republicans can make a specticle out of Clinton’s affair then I think it’s only fair that it can be used to show that Lee Terry is an unethical man. Lee Terry also ran for multiple terms after his initial campaign promise was to only serve one term. In his defense, I believe he said that the demand for him to return was so overwhelming…blah blah blah… I find that hard to believe when the man does NOTHING! And he never will accomplish anything of value in all his years of service.

Considering all the information is right there in the congressional record, the pages of the OWH itself, and opensecrets.org (the FEC), it’s not a hard story to write.

There should be a rule whereby
if a Congressman accepts more than $10,000 in campaign funds from another Congressman who later becomes involved in a scandal (as Terry did from Hastert & Delay) then the congressman recieving the money shouldn’t be allowed to defend the congressmen writing the checks.

The fact is, Terry took tens of thousands of dollars from Hastern, Boehner, Delay, and others… and in return he voted for and campaigned for Boehner for majority leader, and he vocally supported both Tom Delay and Denny Hastert when they ran into ethics violations.
Terry is in absolutely no position to attack ANYONE on ethics grounds.
