Maybe Bruning is afraid this is a real challenge? In all seriousness, though, Bruning is likely setting up a run for Senate in 2008. Of course this is assuming Chuck Hagel will retire from the seat to run for VP or President. Maybe we could get our esteemed mayor to run on the Democratic ticket if that happens?
