And the winner is…

Congratulations to the UNO College Democrats after a successful Truman Dinner appearance. After taking an unprecedented twenty members to the dinner, the UNO College Democrats were surprised by being chosen the winner of the 2006 Douglas County Democrats Volunteer Award! After logging more than 1,000 campaign volunteer hours last spring, and 250 already in just the first few weeks of this year, the UNO College Democrats are commanding respect in the city, state, and even nation!

United States Senator Ken Salazar from Colorado said it best when he recommended that all fifty states model their organizations after the UNO College Democrats!

Congratulations to every one of you that has volunteered a minute, an hour, or much more in helping the UNO College Democrats make a difference! It’s About Time, and last night was yours. This recognition is for you! Thanks to all of you that make it happen!!
