Congratulations to Jeff Armour of UNL and the UNO Dems blog for calling attention to the majority of the UNO Student Senate and their gutless defense of Hergert. I understand the Speaker of the Student Senate was responsible for the secret vote. Again, a Republican weakling has demonstrated the same spineless approach of two student regents in a row. The UNO Dems should do all that is possible to make sure no more cowards rise to the top, starting with the student regent elections next year. Well, I guess when the government cannot or will not act it becomes the responsibility of the people... I say we get a protest, a petition... hell, lets march to Lincoln and shout this Hergert down.
