Does this man look familiar? If you’ve turned on your TV in the past year, you’ve probably seen Nebraska’s Attorney General Jon Bruning more than a few times on an internet sex crimes commercial. I could probably go on for hours about how terrible that commercial is but I won’t. If you haven’t seen the commercial, you can download it here. I believe in the credits at the end Bruning is listed as “Creepy Guy #2″.
Recently, Bruning has come under fire for hiring practices at the AG’s office.

The state of Nebraska should market itself as leader in low-budget commercials. I feel terrible for the poor guy who plays the sex offender in that commercial. I’m sure he thought his big break would come in something more like a razor blade commercial. Whenever I see that commercial, I’m just curious about that grizzly beard. Clearly, all pedophiles are too busy in chatrooms soliciting little kids that they have no time to shave.
But, more importantly, Bruning is running for governor? I am so excited for his campaign spots I can hardly contain myself!
Actually, I think they used a real sex offender in that commercial. You know, it’s hard to find sex offenders that look like sex offenders. I’m glad we have at least a few in Nebraska.
I think I met that guy at the mall one day…hmmm…I better go shower.
that commercial is so generalizing and stereotypical i feel bad for the sex offenders
I’d like to head what sex offenders think of that commercial. Are they being properly represented? We should call the Coalition for Better Sex Offending to find out what they think.
