The brilliant ideas of whoever thought to camp out at the election commission office are spreading! When I was at the meeting last night, quite a few of the members seemed really interested in doing that for their city council candidates this Sunday night. A really great idea that was mentioned at the meeting was a Texas Hold 'Em night with all the proceeds going to a city council candidate. Good idea...maybe we should snag it and use it in Omaha.. If my memory serves me I think our FMLA chapter here at UNO did something like that. Also, it might be a little late for our city elections. It seems to me that everybody has pretty much got their fundraising done and is going into the final push. I may be wrong though. But I still think its a good idea to raise money. If they city counsel members are in good shape maybe we could do something like we did at Christmas and donate some to the homeless shelters downtown. It seems that people kinda forget outbout those people when you get out of the holiday season, might be a good guesture. But good idea Meg! Oh, and UNL. And possibly FMLA!
