Lets make fun of the poor dental skills of Ms. Rice’s oral hygenist and say “I lie through my teeth…literally.” Low blows void of substance are always a win in my book.

  2. 2 DanielO Apr 13th, 2005 at 7:51 pm

    I enjoy it

  3. 3 John May 3rd, 2005 at 11:43 pm

Dr. Rice would run circles around you little political wantabes. She graduated college when she was 19. Provost at stanford and has a phd and a masters. Again more ignorant coments by the liberals. Keep it up

  4. 4 Robin Q May 4th, 2005 at 7:42 am

As an Afircan American Women I am ashamed of Dr. Rice. Ashamed she is Black and Ashamed that she is a woman. this administartion wants to hold her up as a shining example to blacks.

I say let them. she is a shinining example of how not sell your soul, integrity and reputation to the highest bidder. she is an example of brain drain and self hatred toward your own people once you reach upward mobility.

Dr. Rice is nothing more than a house negro for this administration. So let her run in 08 becuase black people see her for she truly is a SELLOUT!

  5. 5 Mike May 4th, 2005 at 3:03 pm

Hey john we are just having a little fun, and from the posts of yours that i have read so far, it seems you think the word “liberal” might offend us in some manner, well sorry but it doesnt…..

“I believe the name of the repot was ‘bin laden determined to stike soon within the united states’”

  7. 7 John May 4th, 2005 at 11:26 pm

Maybe the Black Community should start seeing Dr. Rice as a remarkable independant thinker who came from a poor family and actually made something for herself. I view that as a person who doesnt play the race card to get by in life but actually works hard to achieve something she wants. Condi Rice does more for the Black community than Jesse “Rent a cop” Jackson has ever done.

  8. 8 John May 4th, 2005 at 11:30 pm

That comment on Dr. Rice is why the republicans are in the majority and the “progressive democrats” who are “Tolerant” are silly little petty sore losers in the minority.

  9. 9 Mike May 5th, 2005 at 12:34 am

You are really annoying with your ridiculous uneducated comments, you dont even know us and where we are coming from

  10. 10 Mike May 5th, 2005 at 12:35 am

  11. 11 Mike May 5th, 2005 at 12:40 am

stop being such a whiney republican JEEZ, damn republicans are always whining about something

  12. 12 Robin Q May 5th, 2005 at 8:21 am

name one thing that Condi lies and lies alot has done for the black community? You can’t because she hasn’t . Please don’t preach to me about how to be a good black and how I should be supporting Condi.

I don’t support liars! There are plenty of black people that have come from the same conditions that Condi has come from and didn’t sell their souls to get where they are.

White people like her so much because she doesn’t have an original thought that Dubya, Rove or Cheney didn’t put there. She has done nothing to benefit her people and in fact is a shining example of what not to be.

My grandma always said tell the truth because when you lie you always have to remember what you said. Condi lied about our reasons for going to Iraq. The administartion that she so proudly works for change the reasons for going to war like they were changing underwear.

I have slightly more repsect for Powell than I do her because at least he recoginized the stenched from the Bullshit that the Administration was shoveling out and got gone.

Condi on the other hand lives for it. If Condi is your role model more power to you let her be your great white hope. I don’t need people like her to be my role models. I have a three excellent ones my grandmother, my mom and myself.

  13. 13 Joe May 5th, 2005 at 9:50 am

Get off the liberal plantation and think for your self. Your leaders are what Jesse Jackson the man who was having sex with someone other than his wife and had a kid out of wedlock while he was counciling slick willy in the white house about monica lewinsky. Yeah your right Condi is a nobody she is white because she thinks differently than you. What a sad party the democratic party is. If you dissagree your somehow a sell out or something worse. God you guys are pathetic.

  14. 14 Mike May 5th, 2005 at 11:28 am

if you think petty insults make u sound more knowledgable than you are, your wrong, right now it just sounds like your pulling shit out of your ass. We DO think for ourselves, thats why we are democrats Republicans are the ones who blindly follow their “fearless” leader. I cant even count the amount of times that i have heard “it is unamerican to question the president.” Get your parties straight and then come back to have a reasonable conversation, you ignorant, whiney, pathetic REPUBLICAN

  15. 15 Joe May 5th, 2005 at 2:36 pm

Again another unintelligent statement by dumb democrats. That is why we control the HOUSE, the SENATE, and the WHITE HOUSE. Come on say it with me the HOUSE, the Senate, the WHITE HOUSE. oh and the GOVERNORSHIPS. You sound more and more and more pathetic everytime you write something.

  16. 16 Tony Costello May 5th, 2005 at 2:43 pm

    BAP!

Seriously though, why did this post get so big? The answer is simple: because a couple of bored meatheads decided to piss some Democrats off. That’s all this is… ha… nobody really hates Condi… yeah, she’s a moron, but we’re doing the democratic thing and holding her accountable for it. I mean, lack of accountability and lack of transparency are the reasons that democracy hasn’t fully consolidated in many Latin American countries. To those of us who are rationally criticizing those we feel and know are responsible: we’re doing the right thing, keep it up. For those of you who don’t know what you’re talking about and follow like blind sheep: go to South America.

  17. 17 Joe May 5th, 2005 at 2:51 pm

Have a good trip down to South America Mr. Costello hope you do ok for yourself down there.

  18. 18 Joe May 5th, 2005 at 2:54 pm

Condi Rice has done alot for the Black community along with JC Watt and Alan Keyes and Clarence Thomas. They show that they can think for themselves and dont need Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to tell them how to think. Quit attacking a successful black women and start thinking on your own. Do you guys know how to do that?

  19. 19 Tony Costello May 5th, 2005 at 2:58 pm

What’s with you and Jesse Jackson?? … This was a poster made for shock value… For someone who probably worships Anne Couture, you’re a real tight ass.

  20. 20 Joe May 5th, 2005 at 8:16 pm

I just dont like people saying she isnt black bc she thinks independantly.

  21. 21 Diane Hayes May 6th, 2005 at 12:36 am

Joe: Sort of like the way democrats supposedly are unpatriotic because they think independently of Bush?

  22. 22 Robin Q May 6th, 2005 at 7:10 am

I realy don’t know where you got that I said Condi wasn’t black because she thinks “independently” She will black until the day she dies and one day the GOP will rudely reminde her of just how black she is.

What I said is that she is a LYING SELLOUT! I need to get off the plantation . Let me educate you on sellouts my brotha. Back in the days of slavery when the master wanted to divide and conquer they send for those out in the field that they thought they manipulate.

They would have them sent to the Big House ushered in through the back door bring them to the kitchen and have a nice chicken dinner waiting for them. Feeding them and praises them all the while getting them to sellout their mother btrother etc etc.

Condi is no different than that. Do I diminish her accomplishments no no one is saying that she did not come far or is not an accomplished women.
What we are saying is that she is a liar and, I take offense when people start calling my firends racist and sexist because they call her out on her lies.

Republicans have no problem attacking Hillary does that make you sexist ?
I find it laughable that the party whose Vice President wouldn’t even vote to give Dr, King a holiday is playing the race card. So race should only be taken into consideration when the person is a lap dog for the GOP?

  23. 23 Robin Q May 6th, 2005 at 7:29 am

I just need to say one more thing. there seems to be this myth out here in this country and a few basketball, football players, rappers, congressmen/women etc. that happen to be black means we made it.

taking nothing from Allen Iverson, Donnovan Mcnabb, Russel Simmons,
Kendrick Meeks etc etc. this does not constitute a turnaround in the race.
Forty years of civil rights legislation does not correct hundreds of years of injustice.

We as black people can not be satisfied with a few making it in and that is the biggest beef that I have with most brothas and sistahs that relate to the GOP’s feebly attempt at inclusion. A friend sent this quote to me and I think this pretty much sums up my feelings on this subject.

The advancement of a few at the expense of the many has not been heralded in the past and should not be so today … for some of us, maybe personal circumstances have improved. But when as a community, our children and our futures are still on the front lines, too many things just haven’t changed for us to rest on our laurels. We cannot afford to “believe the hype.” So don’t.” Congresswoman Cythnia McKinney (The Black Commentator - Leadership in a World of Change - Issue 137 )

    Ok

  24. 24 Joe May 6th, 2005 at 8:48 am

You forget to remember that the democratic party was started by mostly proslavery people. Dont think that just because you have a R behind your name that your racist or your a “sellout” its just ignorant to think that people who are conservative who happen to be black should be persecuted by other blacks. That is not what Martin Luther King would do or say.

  25. 25 Joe May 6th, 2005 at 8:54 am

What did she lie about explain that to me. There is a difference between lying and getting false intelligence information. Is Colin Powell a liar, is Barbara Boxer a liar, How bout Bob Kerrey, is Bill Clinton a liar. You see if you knew your history you would understand that your fellow democrats wanted to go in an capture Saddam in 1998 when he refused to let UN weapons inspectors in there. But somehow that is forgotten when you people make terrible and ignorant comments on people such as Dr. Rice. And yes you did say Condi wasnt black and you also said she lost her blackness and femininity when she joined the Bush whithouse. So yes you did say that and now your trying to cover up your ignorant comments.

  26. 26 chris May 6th, 2005 at 12:37 pm

I’m a Republican and I’m proud of it, and I like Condi alot, but when did disliking a person mean that you dislike all similar people? I like Condi, but I don’t like Jesse Jackson, does that make me hate black people. I think Rosie O’Donnell is annoyind, do I hate gay people? I hate Hillary Clinton, do I hate women? I think Newt Gingrich is a prick, do I hate men, or Republicans? I think Democrats are stupid, so do I hate dumb people?

  27. 27 Joe May 6th, 2005 at 12:39 pm

    Right on Chris

  28. 28 chris May 6th, 2005 at 1:58 pm

Also, how does a woman sell out her “people” by doing what she believes in, and becoming one of the best in the world at what she does? I’m not going to tell you what you should do or feel as a black person, but even if you do not agree with what she stands, shouldn’t you respect that she overcam a childhood in abject poverty to become a world leader and one of the most well known and respected African American women alive today?

  29. 29 Joe May 6th, 2005 at 3:27 pm

Well she doesnt agree with most blacks so she is a sellout. Give me a break.

  30. 30 Abbey May 6th, 2005 at 4:25 pm

THE POSTER WAS ABOUT HER LIES! NOTHING ELSE! In fact, the issue only came up when Spencer accused us of being racist, which we most certainly are not. End of story. Stop being rediculous.

  31. 31 Joe May 6th, 2005 at 11:30 pm

Actually honey. This started when your friend Robyn said that Condi is not black because she is a sell out bc she is intelligent and joined the bush whitehouse.

  32. 32 Robin Q May 7th, 2005 at 12:11 am

First of all joey spell the name right it is Robin with an I not a Y because my mom knows how to spell and I never said that Condi was not black.

I said and please get this right this time she is a LIAR and A SELLOUT and if you would have read my post I do acknowledge that she has made major accomplishments but she has made those acccomplishment to the while black people continue to suffer.

One successful black perosn does not a race make. So please for the last time stop putting words in my mouth and get your facts and your post straight before you start typing.

  33. 33 Bill Jul 19th, 2005 at 7:04 pm

Hey Robin I have news for you….everyone who was a slave or owned a slave has been dead for some time. You are not a victim, your ancestors maybe…but not you. Stop drinking the Jesse Jackson kool-aid and take responsibility for yourself. Looking for someone to blame for your problems will continue to get you nowhere. Reparations will never happen. Get over it.

  34. 34 Anthony David Adams Sep 18th, 2005 at 2:17 pm

I have a gut reaction to the use of the word ‘her people’, or ‘your people’ or ‘ my people’. Should we not strive to be each others people?

As for both sides of this ‘debate’ which I have stumbled upon, I think it rather arrogant for anyone who claims to be either Republican or Democrat to assume that their specifics set of viewpoints represents that of their entire political party. It seems to me that there are as many differing viewpoints on the Red side as there are in the Blue.

Additionally, to generalize the statement of anyone claiming to belong to a political party as applying to the entire party, is flawed logic. We should hold individuals accountable for their actions, examine the beliefs of individuals, and avoid the pitfalls of broad generalization.

It seems to be that when people of either side of the majoratarian polical coin run out of original thought, become frustrated with the debate in general, or give up on finding a middle ground, they begin to attack the individual, or worse, the political party in general — i.e. ‘the stupid democrats’ or ‘the whiny republicans’.

The purpose of politcal discussion and debate should be to arrive at a common ground from which to progress. It is unfortunate so many people engage in political debate simply for sport — liekned to the hunter who would kill an animal without eating it, simply for the thrill of the hunt. While formal debate may be seen as entertainment for some, it is not successful in allowing for agreement, compromise, and progressive movement. Individuals often begin to devote mental resources to reinforce their point, hold their ground, and prove their side of the argument, while failiing to see the other point of view, see the common ground on which both views are founded, and seek to develop a revised understanding which is acceptable to both viewpoints — three dimmensional thinking.

  35. 35 Diane Hayes Sep 18th, 2005 at 2:34 pm

Robin’s right. Condi reminds me of Clarence Thomas, who used affirmative action programs to get INTO law school and THROUGH law school and now uses his power chipping away at anything related to affirmative action. Their thinking is similar to that of a reformed alcoholic looking down their nose at problem drinkers… “I got mine - You get yours,” forgetting the numbers of people who sacrificed and worked against racism to get them where they are today. They are auntie and uncle toms.

  36. 36 Diane Hayes Sep 18th, 2005 at 2:42 pm

On the other hand ya gotta admire a woman who has garnered so much power over a president (and I use the term loosely) that he even has to ask permission from her to pee…:-/

  37. 37 robin Sep 20th, 2005 at 5:05 pm

    Anthony,

Like it or not racism is alive and well in this country. I used the term her people but often times we as blacks become the “representattive” of the race. Black celebs are lauded until they do something that whiote america does not approve of.

Just being at a prodominately white university when you are black. I get really sick of people who have no idea of what it feels like to be black in this country telling me that I should just get over it. (I know you did not say that and Bill did)

But it is that kind of thinking that doesn’t even allow us to discuss the affects that racism still has on blacks.

Yes Bill black people should get reparations just because I am not a slave in the physical since doesn’t mean that blacks are not still in bondage and, just because I am not a lsave does not mean that I am not entitled to compensation for what happened to my ancestors.

I think blacks should file a wrongful death suit against tjhe United States Government and seek punitive damages.

Back to my point about MS. Rice. Is she accomplished? Of course.
Does she speak for the majoriity of blacks in America? Most polls will say no. Go to any black blog and ask blacks what they think .
Don’t just take my word for it.

Ms. Rice whether she likes it or not has a responsiblity to her race. Because she came from such adverse conditions, She should be the fisrt in line to help. To whom much is given much is required. The Fact that she could be at a broadway play when so many blacks in New Orleans were suffering says volumes about her charcater.

  38. 38 Joe...another one Aug 17th, 2006 at 11:08 pm

mike:”stop being such a whiney republican JEEZ, damn republicans are always whining about something”
this whole conversation started because the demorcrats are whining about condi rice.

People who dont support the war have no idea, do they?
Have any of yall ever seen a person die? multiply that by over 2000.
you guys cant even imagine or say you can cuz that would be straight up lying. If we pull out now, their lives will have been for what? its not all about yall and your stupid politics. People dedicate their lives to yalls freedom, respect that. and personally i think you freakin democrats are only anti war because yall have to be different from GOP.
While yall are arguing over how black an american leader is, people are dying for a cause, your freedom. dont be a yellow dog democrat, support your troops

  39. 39 Mike Feb 8th, 2008 at 10:48 pm

    Hey Robin,

I’m Jewish and we were enslaved by the Egyptians who were black. I think blacks should pay reparations to Jews because jews were enslaved by blacks 5000 years ago. Just because we aren’t slaves now, doesn’t mean we aren’t still in bondage.
