I mentioned this last night at the meeting. I will be nominating the College Democrats for the “Outstanding Organization” of the year at UNO. On the application, I need to include the following.
- List the outstanding things your organization has accomplished this academic year:
- Community Service:
- Activities co-sponsored with another organization or department:

It sums up most of the bush protest stuff, which I think was a time our group really shined (and got national attention).
Don’t forget all of the charity work we have done, and how we have helped out other, not so well known, organizations on campus. We have donated money to 2 charities, over Christmas, and we helped out the Muslim Student Association when no one else would. We also raised money for unisep. We have donated canned foods to wherever Daniel has taken them. We are by far the most talked about organization on campus, we have scored national recognition, and celebrities now know who we are(ie: Jon Stuart, Bill Press, soon to be Ellen Degeneres)yes I am still thinking aobut ways to get her here!!! We have also established a highly popular blog who has recognitions from other nationally known blogs as well as Republican blogs!! We have made numerous local tv and radio appearances, as well as one national news appearance. And we still aren’t done yet, and we don’t spend our money on booze like College Republicans, oh and we dont screw old people either. Well these are just some of the things that we have done, i can think of more, but i am too lazy to type them all now, maybe later.

If you go to Lincoln and ask any state senator which group of young people is largest, most informed, and most important to have on your side, half of them will tell you Uno Young Democrats. The other half just aren’t up for reelection until 2008.

if you ask the College Democrats President, Grant Woodward, which chapter east of Boston is the fastest growing and most active, he’ll tell you it’s those kids in Omaha.
We’re respected on our campus, at our capitol, and throughout the nation.
john im sure if you asked him what chapter east of Boston is the fastest growing you would have to travel to europe or find a nice island in the atlantic…WEST john WEST!!!!
Maybe a picture dossier compiling evidence that UNO Dems do in fact offer the “Best Ass on Campus” would be in order (depends on who’s judging this thing, though I’m sure you could cater to any audience).
