This is an important reminder to people like Meg and others who have turned 18 since November 2nd. If you haven’t registered to vote yet, you only have a few days left.
The Omaha World-Herald has this nifty voting timeline for you to use.
The first day to vote absentee in person at the voting office is March 21st, the day we go back to school.
In the Mayor’s race it will knock Friend out cold if he does really badly in the primary. In other districts, like the Betger-Kraft-Suttle match-up, and Cliff Herd’s district, it is absolutely imperative that we get out the primary vote because only 2 will advance to the general. If you think you might not have time on April 10th then you should consider voting absentee.
In related news, who wants to volunteer for Gernandt from 11:30pm on the 20th until like 8am on the 21st?
It will be just the coolest volunteer event ever (besides the tiki-themed volunteer event this last Saturday). I’ll bring the fliers even.
Maybe we could all to the election office as a group to cast our vote. We can send out a press release and everything. What do you guys think.
I am not sure if Democrats voting for a Democrat is a news story.
Check your yd email about that Robin.
The story is that young people care enough about their city not only to vote but ot vote early and if asked who they voted for well if they want to tell then so be it. It encourages people in our age bracket to vote and it reminds everyone to do the same. John I’m checking the email right now.
Hey john I did not get an email. Can you email leanna and have him forward it to me.
thanks
i will be able to volunteer for Gernandt on the 21st
