“All the News that’s Fit to Post”

Call her anything, but don’t call her stupid: Cheryl Weston is sneaking her way onto the District 2 City Council ballot. This should add a little bit of excitement to the North Omaha race. Weston’s a Democrat, and she’s running against incumbent Dem Frank Brown. I don’t know anything about her besides this story, but I’m starting to like her.

A Council Bluff’s Democrat is running for Gov. of Iowa.

Half the City Council incumbents in races are in financial danger: Kraft (D) is losing to Suttle (D) and Betger (R) in the money department, Vokal is losing slightly to Boyle, and Thompson (R) is losing to both Cliff Herd (D) and the other republican in the race.

The Mayor’s South Omaha office is open. Yay.

    I think it is great to see another perosn enter the District 2 race. North O and the African American Community in Particular need to have more choices when it comes to our candidates.
