This story ran in the OWH today:
Mayor Mike Fahey finally filed Tuesday for re-election - not that any doubt existed about his intentions.
For more than a year, Fahey has raised money to win a second four-year term. He began 2005 with nearly $600,000 in his campaign account.
These are signatures we helped to get him. This is work that we did. Plenty of his staffers have thanked our group profusely for the help we gave to go get those endless signatures. This takes us one step closer to returning Fahey to City Hall.

Can’t wait to re-elect Mayor Fahey, even though I can’t vote for him because I live in a SID. (hey anybody still thinking about helping me do a campaign for my SID board??) Anyways lets face it I really don’t think friend stands a chance. I have driven all over Omaha and have seen about 3 signs for Friend, and far more for Fahey. Who wants a Friend who critisizes the first black police chief, and wants stricter punishment for marijuana use.(mom, if you are reading this, don’t worry, I dont smoke pot).I sure as hell don’t. Anyway keep up the good work College Dems.
WOOHOOO MAYOR FAHEY! I have NO doubt that he will be re-elected! I think we should make buttons that say “Friend is not a friend.” Do you guys think people would get it? The youth of Omaha definitely has to be behind Fahey on this one…what high school/college kid doesn’t smoke pot besides me and Amanda, anyway? haha
