Condi Rice (our favorite token republican) has basically given away the end of the movie. Rice said on Wednesday that Iran must live up to its international obligations to halt its nuclear program or “the next steps are in the offing.”
Doesn’t anyone else have a problem with this statement?
Not only is she being hypocritical about Iran’s problems…
(Case in point — The US manufactures more nuclear weaponry than the rest of the world combined. We haven’t ever followed what the International Atomic Energy Agency has said!!!)
…she is making a case for invading ANOTHER country!!! Probably before the year is out! Haven’t we heard this? Haven’t we been through this song and dance before? She is recommending that Iran be referred to the U.N. Security Council (something the IAEA hasn’t done in the last 7 sessions that the topic has been breeched) just to start the same charade all over again. (P.S. The UN is going to do what it did to Iraq. Tell them they need to disarm, send in inspectors to make sure they do, and put sanctions on them if they don’t. Since when has Furious George been able to keep his hand off the trigger long enough to run this to a peaceful solution?!) I have it on good authority that the US military is already making plans to put troops there by 2006. And - if we have such extenuating cirumstances (like a new war) - Georgie may just get away with breaking one of his biggest campaign promises: By Instituting The Draft! Watch out ladies… You’ll be included.
I think, if we invade Iran we should at least invade North Dakota. Just make things look fair.
Daniel
Oh, we couls SO kick North Dakota’s ass!
I also have a problem with her recent statements to europe basically saying, shut the hell up and just cooperate with us. Maybe they should realize that if someone feels strongly enough in opposition, they arent going to just put their feelings aside.
Hey all. I do not want to change the subject………..but I was wondering whether you all could go sign an online petition? Here is the link

Thanks again.
OMG. For some reason I am yet again not surprised. I mean, hello she is a female puppet in the puppet show of the Bush Administration, that has been bullying the world for the last 4 years. Its pathetic for them to even think about going to war in another country, when the war in Iraq is far from being over. And how can we tell other countries to disarm when we are building even more “hi-tech” a-bombs. Even though I dont like Powell very much, I still wish he would be handeling this, instead of a heartless bitch like Condi, who refuses to admit her mistakes and walks around like she has the biggest dick in the world so she can piss on everyone else.(last line taken from the Daily Mirror, kind of).
I get the feeling that in about a year or so all of us will be pining for the good old days when Colin Powell was Secretary of State. I’m willing to give Rice a shot as Secretary of State(granted i dont have a choice but we’ll ignore that fact for the time being), she’ll have my support until/if she screws up.
Powell I didnt think was all that bad, He wasnt a Bush loyalist, he had an immaculate military record(to the best of my knowledge). But still to this day I dont understand why he became Secretary of State and not Secretary of Defense of National Security Advisor, both jobs which he would have been infinitly more qualified for. He did loose some points when he went in front of the UN to try to convince them of our reasons for going to war by leaving out those little pesky details.
I think we should tour Europe and say that the U.S. must live up to its international obligations to halt its nuclear program or “the next steps are in the offing.”
I don’t have any confidence in Rice, she screwed up enough in the last four years.
I wrote a review of the article “How to save the Democratic Party: The Lytle Seven-Step Guide” by Matt Lytle in the Gateway, its on my blog at:http://www.livejournal.com/~nvolenec/
It’s a little long but if you read it please leave a comment or constructive criticism. Thanks.
Well, the statement from Miss Condi-Lies-A-Lot doesn’t surprise me in the least. With North Korea now declaring they have nuclear weapons, we now have to be leary about a confrontation with them, in addition to Iraq and Iran. Perhaps these are steps toward a draft. So much for the world becoming a safer place within the last 4 years.
Condi was just giving us a glimpse of what the Bush administration has in store for the rest of the world: lots of international bullying and endless war.
emistry.com I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his own opinion of himself than on the opinion of others
