Look for signs and stage by the Convention Center.
The Qwest Center is opening at 6:00 a.m. and closing the doors at 8:00 a.m. So the earlier you get to the protest site, the better.
Also, “in order to be sure the rally has a clear, consistent message, signs will be handed out at the event. For the best press coverage, the organizers have asked you use these these rather than bring your own.”

I totally encourage any and everyone to stop by www.omaha.com in the next 18 hours in order to vote “no” on privitization. Their poll has “yes” winning by a slight amount right now.
Also- the plan for Thursday night seems to be meeting at Daniel O’s (aka Clause Kenhipshen) and Top Cat’s house (aka Cody Banks, aka Cody Farns) on 52nd Ave. The midnight movie that night will be a replay of the State of the Union, and we all know what that means.
Then onwards to IHOP, for breakfast and coffee at 5am…and then DRIVE (not walk) to the Protest.

Wish I could be there, but would be a long Friday morning commute from Barcelona. What I can do is vouch for the fact that the rest of the world, well Europe anyways, agrees with us. America is the laughing stock, except for the fact that the jokes not funny anymore. The joke is strategically and systematically setting back years of progress in both medicine and peace. Bush not only lacks the competency of a 6th grader, he is tearing this world apart, creating an atmosphere of political instability, and taking us back hundreds of years to the days where the man with the bigger nuts has all the power. Tomorrow, show him that your nuts aren´t any smaller than his and stand up to that tyrant, tell him where to go, and go to bed tomorrow night knowing you just told the most powerful man in the world that he is a worthless sack of #@%$. Be an American, voice your opinion, and don´t wake up Saturday, fed up with Republicans, knowing that your opportunity to give ‘em hell went to waste!
Hey Chad its good to finally hear from you. Hope everything is going well in Barcelona, and you can be with us at the protest in spirit. Can’t wait until tomorrow guys. And how exciting is it that we are going to be on national tv tonight. If someone can tape it for me that would be great because I have to teach dance classes all night, and my parents are too vcr illiterate to record things for me. Thanks and see you all tomorrow.
I will TIVO it. I hope they show as many people from our group as possible. Also, I hope they don’t edit the interview like David Letterman does and show me saying something like “I hate puppies”. I hope the College Democrats are represented well.
Also, there are posters all over campus publicizing the event. We should have a great turnout.

Hey fellow DFAers,
If you live in one of the states that Bush is touring in the next few days, don’t expect to be allowed to see him, even if you want to. I was just called by my local news station regarding a secret service list of people not being allowed into the Bush event in Fargo, ND, right across the river from Moorhead, MN where I live. Also on this list is every member of my DFA MeetUp group!!! I found this hilarious and disturbing at the same time. i’m 19 years old bush, what do you have to fear from me? Mu opinion? Anyhoo, it gave me a little bit of encouragement because that means that Bush knows who we are at DFA and is afraid of what we have to say about his proposals. I just thought that any of you who live in Montana, Arkansas, Nebraska or Florida would like to know that you woun’t be allowed in because you are apparently a threat to our president.
P.S. Even Fargo’s City commishiner was banned and she doesn’t even belong to an orginization, but she’s an elected official!!!

We chose this battle, we faught it hard, and I for one, am proud of my College Democrats.
UNO Democrats! You are amazing! Wish I could be at the protest Friday, but I know you will make a great impression. It’s simple. You don’t want to see earned benefits taken from Nebraska seniors and our economy, to the tune of $1.2 billion dollars a year in this state alone, according to projections of the Bush scheme released this month. And no college student should want to see additional national debt that creates further economic burdens on students and future generations. You are the voice of reason. Shout it out!

I’m not a UNO student, but I really was impressed with the organization and turnout today (something I felt has seemed missing the last 4 years). Keep up the good work PLEASE. Keep linking up with other state-wide groups, particularly Nebraska Young Democrats, to have public events in Omaha. So many people out here want to have a voice but just aren’t given the opportunity to express it.

I wish i could have stuck around when all the people were coming out of the Qwest center. I browsed around on another forum, an omaha one, not a democrat or political one, and they had a lot of bad things to say about the protesters and how they were yelling vulgarities and things of the like. What exactly did happen afterwards??
