1. Our buttons made news on Z-92! I didn’t hear it but some of my friends did! We are beginning to make waves, people! Why didn’t someone tell me that one of the dems was going to be on the radio? I would have tuned in and informed my parents!
2. Those silly libraries that took ‘America’ off thier shelves are being forced to put them back out! They got so many nasty emails and phone calls (mostly from out-of-towners) that they decided to hold a meeting. Most of the 15-odd people that were there were in favor of allowing it to be put back on the shelf. I mean, but really, America was never about censorship! (emphasis mine)
3. THE INAUGURAL PARADE IS GOING TO GO RIGHT PAST THE ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATION! I was kind of worried that we weren’t even going to get CLOSE to the parade - what with John looking like a hippie more and more every day and me not being able to keep the eggs in my pockets… Now it looks like we are going to be handed quasi-front-row seats! Keep on those guys with the bus to D.C. Everyone should be there if they can!
4. Oh, and I got those “Business Cards” done. You know, the ones with which we are going to flash our opponents and blind them with jealousy! I only had enough personal information to complete a few templates. (Mine, John, Kelsey, Amanda, Ryan, and Robin) But if you want yours, you will have to give me some things. Your full name (how you want it to appear on the card), your (elected) position in our organization (or make up a title, no one will know any better), and your phone number. The rest of the information is standard. The address will read 6001 Dodge Street (UNO). And it will also sport the URL for this blog and our UNODems email address. Call me or catch me at the next Dems meeting. I can make them full color if you’re willing to shell out a few bucks, but they are free for me in black and white (and that means free for you). They are really cool and once you see them, you are going to want them! (Plus I hear they are really good for picking up chicks!) Adios!
